Causes of wear phenomenon of centrifugal fan

In the use of centrifugal fans, I believe that many of us have encountered such a situation, centrifugal fan wear, resulting in reduced efficiency, resulting in the failure to achieve the desired effect.

(1) Fatigue wear
(2) Erosion wear
(3) Abrasive wear
(4) adsorption wear
These 4 kinds of wear are the main wear factors in the use of centrifugal fans. In summary, fatigue wear is due to surface fatigue stress (or temperature or impact) caused by surface cracks or scale shedding is called fatigue wear. From the point of view of the damaged impeller, various forms of impeller wear and parts are not the same. However, the main forms of wear are the above and are local wear. The worn parts are mainly in the working surface of the blade and near the back disc. Several other types of wear are due to intake conditions. The following main analysis of the effect of air intake conditions on the wear of centrifugal fans.

The problems of sintering, dust removal, boiler induced air and other dust-containing fans, such as fan impeller wear, reduced service life and poor continuous operation reliability caused by solid particles entrained in the air flow, have attracted the attention of the engineering and academic circles. Relying on increasing material abrasion resistance or surface treatment is certainly the 1 effective wear-resistant measure, but the cost and process requirements increase accordingly.

Based on the motion law of gas-solid two-phase flow, the movement and wear mechanism of particles are analyzed, and the movement trajectory of particles in the fan is changed from the aerodynamic point of view, which is the problem of improving the impeller wear from the aspect of fan design. The gas-solid two-phase flow in an experimental centrifugal fan is analyzed and calculated, and the effect of changing the impeller inlet conditions on the movement of particles in the fan and the wear of the impeller is studied. The calculation and analysis show that the wear condition of the impeller can be improved to a certain extent by changing the inlet condition of the impeller, and the wear resistance of the centrifugal fan can be improved without affecting the aerodynamic performance of the fan.
